Tile is an extremely durable, long-lasting flooring material that's perfect for kitchens, bathrooms, and entryways. Unfortunately, that durability makes tile flooring removal surprisingly difficult when it's finally time to renovate—especially if you don't have the right tools or haven't tackled a tile floor removal in the past.
At DC Floors, our craftsmen have years of experience dealing with all kinds of renovation and remodeling projects. We have the training and tools required to easily remove your tile floor and prep the space for whatever repairs or updates you may have in mind.
What’s Involved?
Floor tile removal, if it is limited to a few tiles to repair a crack or discoloration, is a relatively simple process that our team can handle in one visit if replacement tiles are available. To remove tile floors as a whole, however, is more involved.
Our team will need to use hammers or power scrapers to break up and dislodge the tiles one at a time without causing damage to the surrounding walls or floor. This process will take more or less time depending on the size and type of tile and will most likely involve a fair amount of noise and dust. We'll also need to scrape away any remaining grout or adhesive, and may need to sand down your subfloor to prepare it for whatever type of new flooring you may have in mind.
Experience Does Make a Difference
Tile can be exhausting or even dangerous to dislodge if you aren't experienced or prepared, and trying to figure it out yourself may result accidental damage to your home and expensive equipment rentals. Protect against accidental damage, injury, and cost overruns by hiring the experts at DC Floors. We'll get the job done fast, cleanly, and with the best prices available.
